The French school “Ecole des Mines” offers a general engineer training in 4 years. During the second year of our curriculum, we have the opportunity to realize an open scientific project. 100 hours are allocated for each student in order to lead the project which has a pedagogical purpose and permit to students to learn more about project management.
Today, we are facing a dangerous increase of greenhouse gases, their impacts on our planet has become very easy to notice in our daily life. That’s the reason why considering environmental constraints have become indispensables in every engineer work.
Our project is the continuity of the last year project “Echo Moteur”. Whereas the previous team had done a study about a 100% Pantone System, we have chosen Gillier-Pantone System, or Water doping. This system is the result of many people’s work who wanted to adapt this system on their own vehicles equipped by a diesel engine.
The aim of the project Echo-Moteur² is to realize and to set up a water doping system on a diesel engine, in order to realize some tests in test beds, and publish results as far as performances of such a system is concerned.
